This question <36|44> overall <40|42> Oj: <40|135>.
Question 10: Name some elements of wealth which even in modern capitalist society cannot be bought and sold.
[41] Oj: The wealth that cannot be bought nor sold reaches farther into a nation than just the materialistic objects. The wealth of a nation is based upon the credentials and substance of the people living in it. It all starts with education. The government owes the people the right to be educated. Education provides for a country where the people know and understand the conventions of its make up. Knowledge is critical in today's world. Knowledge can give a person the useful skills to be productive in a nation, which will make that nation even greater. Education produces knowledge which for a striving nation can neither be bought nor sold.
Hans: You are following the rules of good conduct in a capitalist society: Instead of saying that education is good because it improves the quality of your life (which is, I presume, your motivation for this whole thing), you are saying that it is good for the state (because it produces good citizens) and it is good because it keeps our economy internationally competitive. But look at the many examples given in the answers to Question 2 by yourself [39] and others. Good citizens, of course, do not see the damage their state inflicts on them and others.
