[534] Zaskar: I understand from what
Marx is saying about private property that it tends to control
the individual, rather that the individual controlling the
private property. I believe in a sense this is true. A
person would not likely be willing to give up effort and sweat
in the pursuit of personal property if it was not worth
something to the individual. However, it is this worth that
binds the owner to the protection of his property. It seems
to be a difficult trade off that anyone interested in
accumulating property must at some point address. This seems
to me to be the problem with private property. |
