This question <64|91> overall <67|69> Johny: <960|69>.
Question 2: Give examples which show that the wealth of a nation can be unrelated or perhaps even opposite to the wealth of the individuals living in that nation.
[68] Johny: America, one of the richest nations in the world, is viewed in the way that everyone in America is rich. This is a falsehood. The wealth of the nation is spent on military and arms. Many people in America are suffering from starvation and lack of shelter. The government spends the bulk of the American budget on sciences and development, while many people are starving to death.
Hans: Are you using “sciences and development” as an euphemism for “the military”? Is this maldistribution of wealth only the effect of government spending?
[68] Johny: (datestring)Wed, 1 Mar 1995 14:44:59 -0700 (MST)(/datestring) Yes, in a way I am using “the military” as a euphamism for science and development. Because most of development is gone into the military. It is partly the ways of our society that creates a maldistribution of wealth, not just government spending.
