  There is a metaphorical relationship between religion and commodity. Marx explains it as a social phenomenon. I think religion itself is a phenomenon. Of all religions Christianity is the most fitting for the capitalist. Society treats its commodities as values, produced by homogeneous labor. Christianity fits in also as a value. Laborers united in the cause of religion, creating values.   
  The capitalist laborer give everything to the benefit of the society. As in Christianity the individual gives everything for the benefit of his soul. They are both unique and individual...
