This question <26|26> overall <24|26> Darcy: <24|24>.
Question 36: An acquaintance of mine regularly swaps his wife with a friend. Does this mean his wife has an exchange value?
[25] Darcy: swapping wives and exchange values   This means that each wife has an exchange value. If each wife is swapped for one another, then it is taken that they both have the same exchange value. If one wife is given, and the other wife is given along with a sack of potatoes, then the first wife has the higher exchange value because the second guy has to also exchange another commodity to make the swap equal. But wife for wife is an equal exchange.
Hans: Here is a brief addition to my [26]: It seems you halfways thought the right thing when you wrote:
This means that each wife has an exchange value.
But then you should have noticed that this is not the case.
