[98] Disgusted: Quantity Labor - explained I was not implying that Marx's concept of “value” is
determined by how much care goes into production, thus
making it more “pricier”. A commodity gains its value
through quantity of labor. The more labor expended,
the greater the quality of any “use-value” product can
become. Thus, quantity of labor is a measurement and
quality is the outcome of all the labor expended.
By “importance” I did not mean dictated by supply and
demand. I was emphasizing that value does not exist, I
believe, until an exchange process has been intitiated
placing an importance on the commodity. Perhaps this
statement was unnecessary in response to the original
question. |
