This question <557-21|561-5> overall <561-3|561-5> Weasel: <561-3|159>.
Question 402: Explain the economic necessity of hoarding, and the individual motivation for hoarding.
[561-4] Weasel: Hoarding is an economic necessity because it allows every producer of commodities a reserve of money in order to live, while they produce more commodities (Annotations, 274). Hoarding allows the excess money supply to exit the marketplace, protecting the money supply against saturation. Hoarding also provides social status, and access to commodities at any time.
