[63] Hans: Value created by labor is not the same as the wage. Marx's definition of “socially necessary labor-time” has nothing to do
with wages. The labor-time socially necessary to produce a product
determines how much value this product has on the market. Marx will
discuss wage labor in chapter 6, and at this point he will say that
the wages which the workers receive are far below the value which
their labor creates. Right now he is only discussing how the value of
the products on the market is determined. He hasn't said anything yet
about the reimbursement of the workers working for a capitalist. |
