Question 263: Give everyday examples of “material relations of persons” and “social relations of things.”
[121] Brian: Material relations of persons and social relations of things...   An everyday example of material relations of persons would the relationship between the owner of a manufacturing plant and the employees on the manufacturing floor. The relationship only exists between the persons because of material mediums, the owner with his funds to pay salaries and the employees with their input into labor. An everyday example of social relations of things is the relationship between a buyer and seller. They come together and form a relationship based solely on the desire to purchase or sell a thing.
