Question 223: Describe the joint work of all commodities which is necessary to appropriately express the value of one commodity.
[255] Jason: First of all it is important to note that all commodities need to use a specific method to be able to specify their values. As we talked about in class, in today's society we use the modern day monetary policy, in that we use bills and coins. I'm sure back in the day people used a myriad of ways to exchange. According to a past submission this phenomena is the joint work of commodities. As was stated before, the value of exchange is highly influenced by members of society. Commodities can be used as a means of exchange. For example if I scratch your back you will need to scratch mine type of scenario. In addition another point to consider is that the more means of exchange one owns, the ability that person has of being able to obtain more commodities increases.
Hans: Yes, specific methods are needed to appropriately express values. To be more precise, money is needed. How is money the result of the joint work of all commodities?
