Question 431: Is it right to say that M-C-M is incomplete because it ends with money, and the money is nothing by itself but must be spent?
[545] Ozz: M-C-M incomp.   Saying that M-C-M is incomplete is right; however, it is not because it ends with money, and the money is nothing by itself but must be spent. The reason why M-C-M is incomplete is because the changing money for more money (essentially that is what is happening) leaves you with M again. There is then a drive to exchange the new M again to get an even greater M. When changing from M-C-M the goal is money and not the commodity produced, this is why there is the drive from the new M to an even greater M. This means that M-C-M just ends up repeating itself over and over again because of the drive to gain a greater amount of M, money.
